Drivers now have the ability to accept a move in advance before starting it. This feature allows drivers to notify dispatch that they have acknowledged and are willing to complete the assigned move, even if they plan to begin work later.
Steps to Accept a Move:
1. Go to the ‘Upcoming’ Tab
Locate the assigned move and select ‘Accept Move’.
2. Choose an Option:
A prompt will appear with the following choices:
• Accept & Start Move
Select this if you plan to start working on the move immediately.
• The move will transition to the ‘Active’ tab.
• Note: This option will be grayed out if you already have an active move. You must complete your current active move before starting a new one.
• Accept Now, Start Move Later
Choose this if you are accepting the move but plan to start it at a later time.
• The move will remain in the ‘Upcoming’ tab, marked as ‘Accepted’.
• When ready to begin, simply tap ‘Start’ at the bottom of the move details.
• Drivers can now accept a move even if they have an active one. However, they cannot start a new move until the current one is completed.
• The system will track and display all actions related to move acceptance in the audit trail on the web platform.
Web Software
Web users (dispatchers or planners) will be able to see when a driver accepts a move across multiple areas of the TMS. The system will display a thumbs-up icon , to indicate driver acceptance, where you would normally see a grayed out check mark.
1. On the Move Itself
• When viewing a specific move, the thumbs-up icon will appear once the driver has accepted the move.
• If the driver has accepted the move but not started it yet, the move will display as ‘Accepted’ with the icon.
2. Dispatch Page
• On the Dispatch Page, the thumbs-up icon will be visible next to the move details.
• This allows dispatchers to quickly identify which moves have been acknowledged by drivers.
3. Audit Trail
• The Audit Trail will log the following driver actions:
• Move Accepted: Timestamped and recorded when the driver accepts the move.
• Move Started: Timestamped when the driver begins work on the move.
This ensures full visibility into the timeline of events.
4. Anywhere Moves Are Sent to the App
• Wherever web users can send moves to the driver’s app, the thumbs-up icon will reflect acceptance once the driver acknowledges the move.
• This gives immediate feedback that the driver has received and accepted the move assignment.
