This article outlines the process for enabling the Chassis Tracking feature in PortPro and explains how routing conflicts and support moves related to chassis assignments are managed.
Steps to Enable Chassis Tracking
Navigate to https://app.portpro.io/settings/general-setting.
Access the Settings module.
Select General Settings.
Locate and enable the Chassis Tracking Enabled option.
Save the changes to apply the update.
Handling Multiple Moves Assigned to a Driver
- When a driver has more than one move assigned, a routing conflict popup will be triggered.
- The system will present two options:
- Add a chassis pick to the driver’s subsequent job.
- Remove chassis termination from the previous move.
- Selecting Add chassis pick results in the addition of a hook chassis to the routing for the load:
Support Moves and Driver Planner
- If support moves are enabled, they will be displayed in the Driver Planner.
- Within the Driver Planner, selecting the driver’s name and then Itinerary will display related support moves.
- A Bobtail support move appears if there is a chassis termination or chassis hook located in different yards.
- If no chassis hook and termination legs exist, a Chassis Transfer support move is created, which follows the driver to the next job.
Disabling Chassis Tracking
To disable chassis tracking, repeat steps 2 through 5 and disable the Chassis Tracking Enabled option, then save changes.
