How Do I Create and Save a Filter on the Dispatch Board?

Modified on Tue, 3 Jun at 1:56 AM

Key Benefits

  • Maintain a consistent custom view for quick access.

  • Save time by not having to re-apply filters every session.

  • Keep your Dispatcher View tailored to your workflow.

Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Navigate to the Dispatcher Module

From the left-hand navigation menu, select Dispatcher, then click on the Dispatcher tab to access the Dispatch Board.

2. Customize Your View

Before saving a view, set it up the way you want:

  • Rearrange Columns: Drag columns into your preferred order.

  • Pin Columns: Pin columns to lock them on the left.

  • Toggle Column Visibility: Click the column widget to toggle columns on or off.

  • Apply Filters: Click the Filter icon (resembles a flashlight) near the top-right to choose filters like customer, status, delivery location, etc.

3. Create and Save the View

Once your filters and layout are ready:

  1. Look at the top of the Dispatch Board for the tabs.

  2. Click the plus sign (+) on the far right. Hovering will show “Add New View.”

  3. In the prompt that appears, enter a name for the view (e.g., “Available Loads” or “My Dispatch Board”).

  4. Optionally, check the box for “Set As Default” if you want this view to load automatically every time you log in.

  5. Click the blue “Create View” button to save.

Pro Tip: Use meaningful names like “Drop Loads - NJ” or “VIP Customers” to quickly identify your views.

4. Access and Use Your Saved Views

Your new view will now appear as a tab at the top of the Dispatch Board. You can click the tab at any time to switch between saved views.

5. Edit an Existing View

To update a saved view:

  1. Click on the view’s tab.

  2. Make any needed changes (like filters or column layout).

  3. Click the three dots (︙) next to the view name.

  4. Select “Edit” to save the updates to that view.

Best Use Case

If a dispatcher has a specific daily workflow (e.g., focusing only on California outbound loads), creating a custom view and setting it as default ensures they have visibility to the most relevant data as soon as they log in.
