Understanding the Per Diem/LFD Field for Export Loads

To enhance visibility into container return deadlines for export loads, a new Per Diem Last Free Day (LFD) field has been introduced. This update brings export load tracking in line with the logic already used for imports, supporting better planning and operational consistency.

What’s New for Export Loads?

  • Per Diem LFD Field Added

    • A new Per Diem LFD field is now available for Export Loads.

    • Purpose: Helps track when per diem charges may begin, improving deadline management.

  • Field Location

    • Found in the Load Info section.

    • Appears directly after the ERD (Earliest Return Date) field.

Dispatcher Screen Updates

Filtering by Per Diem Free Day

The Per Diem Free Day column is now fully integrated with the Dispatcher filtering feature.

  • A new column titled Per Diem LFD has been added.

  • This column is now available on the Dispatcher Screen and included in all Column Select options.

  • Users can view container return deadlines for export loads alongside import loads in a single, centralized view.

Settings: Free Day Configuration for Exports

  • The Per Diem LFD field has been added to the Free Day section of Settings.

  • A new Load Type column specifies whether each row applies to Import or Export loads.

  • Export rows initially mirror import rows but can be customized by users as needed.

  • The system calculates the Per Diem LFD date based on configured free days, consistent with import logic.

Document Designer

  • The Per Diem LFD field is available in the Document Designer but is disabled by default.

  • To centralize and unify container return deadline tracking, the existing Return Day field for import loads has been moved and renamed to Per Diem LFD.

What’s Changed for Import Loads?

  • Return Day Consolidation

    • The existing Return Day field for import loads now appears under the new Per Diem LFD column on the Dispatcher Screen.

    • This change ensures a unified naming convention for container return deadlines across both import and export loads.

CUT Column Adjustments in Reports

  • In reports where the Return Day previously appeared under a CUT column, it now displays under Per Diem LFD.

  • This adjustment has been applied across all relevant reports to ensure consistency.

Per Diem Audit Tab Updates

  • In the Per Diem Audit > Audit Tab, the Per Diem LFD now controls the Return By column for both imports and exports.
