Portpro’s Enterprise login is a SAML (Security Assertion Markup Language) based single sign-on (SSO) authentication, allowing applications to authenticate users via their credentials from a trusted identity provider (IdP).
It is compatible with any SAML 2.0 protocol based provider (examples: Okta, Auth0, or a corporate SSO)
Portpro’s Enterpise login is an IdP-inititated SSO, where the authentication process is initiated directly by the identity provider. The user logs into the IdP directly, often through a corporate portal or identity management system.
Available to both Portpro Carrier and Broker platforms
To Enable
Ask support, or your account or customer success manager to enable your account for Enterprise Login.
Once enabled, go to Settings - Connections - Enterprise Connection Setup
Within the setup page:
Provide values for Organization Name and Organization Display Name fields. These are user’s choice.
From your IdP provider:
Enter values for:
Login URL
Logout URL
Email Field Mapping, both Login and Logout URLs
Select the proper Protocol binding method. Both HTTP POST or Redirect binding methods are options
Upload the x509 Signing Certificate which must be in .pem format, which often begins with -----BEGIN CERTIFICATE----- and ends with -----END CERTIFICATE-----
Directly in your IdP, create a new Service Provider which will include a metadata Import. Copy the metadata from the Setup page for the import, which should also contain any necessary information during this external setup.
Once this is successfully completed, you should be able to go login to PortPro pressing the Enterprise login button
Enter the Organization Name in the setup, and Continue. This will take you to your external site for login. Once logged in, the user will be redirected to the PortPro main page as logged in
FAQ
Will users be prevented from logging in via the PortPro Sign In (non Enterprise)?
No, users are not prevented from logging in via the other sign in method
Can Drivers be excluded from the Enterprise login feature?
While they can’t technically be excluded, they are not required to login via Enterprise Login. They can simply log in with their PortPro credentials, and ignore the Enterprise login.
