Overview
For newly connected accounts using PortPro’s Carrier Solution linked to a broker utilizing the Broker Solution, the following steps ensure proper configuration and workflow integration.
1. Access Tendered Loads
New tenders appear under Customer Service → Tendered Loads → Broker Solution.
Tender notification emails are sent to the email address provided to the broker.
This email address can be updated if needed.
2. Assign Charge Code Labels
Navigate to Settings → Accounting Configuration → Charge Codes.
Assign a Charge Code Label to each charge code.
Labels provide brokers with context for each charge, especially if charge code naming differs between systems.
Any charge code labeled “Other” must include a description to clarify the purpose of the charge.
Descriptions should be added to the charge profile on the tariff.
3. Configure Connect Settings
Navigate to Settings → Connect Configuration to manage load data and document synchronization:
Choose whether to auto-accept changes from the broker for specific load fields and documents.
Enable Connect Notices on the Dispatcher Board to log all data exchanges.
Helpful Links:
Under Documents to Customer, verify that required broker documents (e.g., POD, TIR IN, TIR OUT) are listed.
4. Update Broker Profile in Organizations
Go to Customers → Organizations.
Locate the broker's organization profile.
Update payment terms.
Specify required documents for invoicing.
