How to Add eModal as an Organization and Update Container Tracking Credentials

Modified on Thu, 26 Jun at 10:16 PM

If the eModal option isn’t visible when setting container tracking credentials, it may be necessary to manually add eModal as an organization in PortPro. Follow these steps to double-check and complete the setup.

Step 1: Access Tracking & Appointment Settings

  • Click the gear icon at the top right of your PortPro screen.
  • Select Container Tracking Credentials.

Step 2: Check for eModal in Port Market

  • Click on a port market.
  • On the left-hand side, look for eModal listed as a terminal/organization.
  • If eModal is not listed, continue to the next step to add it.

Step 3: Add eModal as an Organization

  • On the left-side navigation menu, go to Organizations > Organizations.
  • Click the green Add New Organization button in the top-right corner.

Fill in the following details:

  • Type: Select Terminal
  • Company Name: Enter eModal
  • Address: 1 World Way, Los Angeles, CA
  • Choose the branch associated with your eModal profile.
  • Click Add New Organization.

Step 4: Enter and Save eModal Credentials

  • Go to Container Tracking Credentials (refer to Step 1).
  • eModal should now appear as a terminal option.
  • Enter the updated eModal login credentials.
  • Click Connect, then click Save.

All Set!
Once connected, PortPro will use the provided credentials to pull tracking and appointment information from eModal.

These credentials are required moving forward for tracking and appointments because:
1- eModal is transitioning the PTP platform at GCT to an updated API that relies on these credentials.
2. They will also be required for West Coast eModal terminals to enhance tracking and booking performance.
