We're excited to introduce major improvements to chassis handling in PortPro. These updates are designed to improve accuracy, reduce mismatches, and streamline operations across Dispatch, Load Info, Routing, and Mobile.
Key Enhancements
Chassis Validation & Rules
New Strict Chassis Rules setting to enforce compatibility by size, type, and availability.
Chassis must not be in use when assigned; the system will alert if conflicts exist.
Available under Settings > Company Preferences > Configuration.
Multiple Chassis Support
Chassis selection now supports better flexibility and load accuracy, allowing Dispatch to assign different chassis types to different moves within the same load (e.g., after a Lift Off).
Improved Load Info Page
We've redesigned chassis selection experience with clearer inputs.
Multiple chassis can now be added and viewed under each load.
Completed moves will have chassis info grayed out and locked.
Routing Sync
Chassis added in Load Info will sync with Routing, and vice versa.
Hook-to-Chassis events are added automatically where needed.
Dispatch Board
Displays the next active chassis per load.
Chassis info can be edited for active (not completed) moves only.
Chassis Profile Improvements
Clean two-tab layout: Available and In Use.
Load Number, Location, and History now display more accurately.
Mobile App Updates
Validations ensure drivers only see and select compatible chassis.
If a chassis is unavailable, drivers will be prompted to contact dispatch.
Error message: "The assigned chassis is currently unavailable, contact dispatch to provide an available chassis."
Bulk Upload
Supports adding the first chassis to the load during creation. Assigning multiple chassis per each move not currently supported.
API Support
Fully integrated for GET/POST/PUT of chassis data at the move level.
Equipment details and last known chassis location included.
Chassis Continuity
When a driver finishes a load, the same chassis will carry over to the next assigned move automatically (unless changed).
These enhancements provide better visibility, reduce errors, and improve overall equipment tracking.
