PortPro allows system-generated emails—such as invoices and status updates—to be sent from your own domain instead of the default do-not-reply@portpro.io. This ensures that emails reach your customers from a recognizable and trusted address (e.g., billing@yourcompany.com).
Step 1: Domain Verification
Before setup, contact PortPro Support (via chat or email) with the domain intended for configuration. A unique verification value will be provided, and is required for the DNS setup
Step 2: Add DNS Records
The following DNS records must be added through the domain provider’s DNS settings to enable authenticated email delivery from PortPro:
Record | Type | Name / Host | Value |
---|---|---|---|
1 | CNAME | mte1._domainkey | dkim1.mandrillapp.com |
2 | CNAME | mte2._domainkey | dkim2.mandrillapp.com |
3 | TXT | _dmarc | v=DMARC1; p=none |
These records ensure authenticated and secure email delivery from PortPro on behalf of the domain. These records ensure emails are authenticated and not flagged as spam.
Step 3: Complete Configuration in PortPro
After DNS records have been applied, confirmed the the setup has been finalized with PortPro Customer Support and configure your Email settings
Navigate to:
Settings > System Generated Emails > ConfigurationEnter the sending email address (e.g., invoices@company.com).
To display a contact name with the address, use the format:
Contact Name invoices@company.comSubject line variables (e.g., invoice or container number) can be inserted by typing
@
in the subject field. These variables will auto-populate with relevant load data when emails are sent.
