What Does the “Software Error Type Null” Mean in the PortPro Driver App?

Modified on Tue, 3 Jun at 2:26 AM

What is the “Software error type 'Null'” message?

This error typically appears as:
"Software error type 'Null' is not a subtype of type 'Map' in type cast among driver profiles"
It means the app is having trouble loading driver data, usually due to permissions or outdated settings.

How do I fix it?

Try the following steps:

  1. Close and restart the app

    • Fully exit the PORTPRO V2 app and open it again.

  2. Check app permissions

    • On your phone or tablet:

      • Go to Settings > Apps > PORTPRO V2

      • Ensure all necessary permissions are turned on (especially Location and Storage).

  3. Make sure GPS is enabled

    • The Driver App requires GPS to function correctly. Confirm that your device’s location services are turned on.

  4. Update the app and your device software

    • Update the PORTPRO V2 app via the App Store or Play Store.

    • Make sure your device is running the latest operating system version.

What if the error still shows after trying all that?

If the error persists:

  • Contact PortPro Support at support@portpro.io or use the in-app chat.

  • Share your device type, OS version, and (if possible) a screenshot of the error.
