Modified on Tue, 12 Aug at 4:24 PM

Accessing and Enabling the Agent

Navigate to AI Marketplace: Log in to a PortPro account. From the main dashboard, navigate to the AI Marketplace section.

Locate Empty Return Agent: Find the Empty Return Agent tile within the marketplace. The status will display (e.g., “Setup” or “Manage”).

Initial Setup: If setting up for the first time, click the Setup button to begin the configuration process.

Configuration Steps

Connecting the Mailbox

The Empty Return Agent primarily works by monitoring an email inbox for notifications about empty containers.

  • Choose Mailbox Type: Select either a Personal Mailbox (accessible only by the assigned user) or a Company Mailbox (shared with team members).

  • Enter Email Address: Provide the email address of the mailbox to be monitored (e.g., empties@company.com).

  • Authorize Access: Follow the prompts to authorize PortPro to access the specified mailbox. This typically involves signing in to the email provider (e.g., Gmail, Outlook) and granting necessary permissions.

Note: The agent requires permission to read emails and identify relevant information. Ensure the selected mailbox is dedicated to, or primarily receives, communications regarding empty container returns.

Defining Keywords and Rules (If Applicable)

Depending on available configuration options, specific keywords or rules can be defined to help the agent more accurately identify relevant emails and information. Examples include keywords such as “container empty,” “ready for return,” or specific terminal codes.

Setting Up Notifications

Configure how and when notifications are sent to stakeholders. Options might include:

  • Confirmation of successful empty return processing.

  • Alerts for containers nearing their LFD.

  • Notifications of any issues encountered during the process.

Understanding the Agent Dashboard

Once set up, the Empty Return Agent dashboard can be accessed within the AI Control Tower or a similar section.

  • Overview: Displays a summary of recent activity, including the number of containers processed, pending returns, and any active alerts

  • Processed Emails/Containers: Shows a list of processed emails or container events, including extracted information and actions taken.

  • Settings/Configuration: Provides access to modify the mailbox connection, notification preferences, and other agent settings.
