Accessing and Enabling the Agent
Navigate to AI Marketplace: Log in to a PortPro account. From the main dashboard, go to the "AI Marketplace" section.
Locate ETA Agent: Find the "ETA Agent" tile within the marketplace. The tile shows its status (e.g., "Setup" or "Manage").
Initial Setup: If setting up for the first time, click the "Setup" button. The system will guide through the configuration process.
Configuration Steps
Setting Up User Profiles
The ETA Agent requires proper configuration to ensure the right people receive the right information:
Set Permissions: For each role, configure specific permissions from Settings - Users & Permissions - AI Control Tower Agents:
View permissions (what can be seen)
Edit permissions (what can be changed)
Notification permissions (what alerts are received)
Configuring Notification Preferences
Notification settings can be customized to control how and when alerts are sent:
Set up notification email template:
- Go to Settings - System Generated Emails - Templates
- Use the "ETA Updates" is "True" rule to have auto-email send when driver is behind schedule
Set up internal and external stakeholders:
Access Notification Settings: From the setup menu, select "Settings."
Configure Event Types: For each event type (e.g., "Trip Started," "Delay Detected," "ETA Updated"), specify:
Which roles should be notified
Notification methods (in-app, email)
Set Thresholds: Define when notifications should be triggered:
At risk of ETA being missed
If driver is late by x minutes
Integrating with Tracking Systems
The ETA Agent requires location data to function effectively:
Select Tracking Sources: Choose which tracking systems to connect:
ELD providers (Samsara, Geotab, KeepTruckin, Omnitracs, etc.)
Mobile app tracking
Configure Each Source:
For ELDs: Enter API credentials and select vehicles from Settings - Connections - Fleet Maintenance
For mobile app: Configure update frequency and accuracy settings
Test Connections: Verify data flow from each source:
Check that location updates are being received
Confirm update frequency meets operational requirements
Validate data accuracy with test vehicles
Understanding the Agent Dashboard
Once setup is complete, the ETA Agent dashboard provides a comprehensive view of operations:
Status: Shows if ETA alert is pending review, has been reviewed, or was rejected
Search and Filter: Tools for locating specific trips or narrowing by criteria
Planned ETA: Time of appointment window
Revised ETA: Expected time of arrival
