Timing Preferences Tabs & Their Impact on Appointment Booking

The Timing Preferences tabs determine how appointment bookings are scheduled relative to key shipment milestones. Selecting one of these options directly influences when and how appointments are booked.

What Do the Tabs Mean?

Tab Name	Meaning & Impact on Booking
Relative to Last Free Day	Appointments are booked based on the last free day before storage fees begin. Helps avoid costly storage fees.
Relative to Delivery Apt	Appointments are scheduled in relation to the delivery appointment date. Ensures pickups are timed to align with delivery.
Relative to Per Diem LFD	Schedules appointments based on when per diem charges start. Prevents costly per diem fees for extended container usage.
Relative to Cut Off	Books appointments before a specific cutoff time.
First Available Appointment	Automatically schedules the earliest possible appointment based on availability. .

How These Options Affect Appointment Booking

Each selection controls how the system prioritizes appointment slots when booking automatically or using a template.

If "Relative to Last Free Day " is selected: The system ensures the appointment is booked before storage fees start.
If "Relative to Cut Off" is chosen: The appointment is made to meet a specific deadline.
If "First Available Appointment" is selected: The system secures the earliest open slot to maximize speed and efficiency.

NOTE: The selected Timing Preferences configuration will reset when the automation is toggled off and then on again. (“Use this template on a background basis.”)
