Timing Preferences Tabs and Their Impact on Appointment Booking
The Timing Preferences tabs determine how appointment bookings are scheduled in relation to key shipment milestones. The selected timing option directly affects when and how appointments are prioritized and booked by the system.
Timing Preferences Tab Descriptions
Tab Name | Meaning & Impact on Booking |
---|---|
Relative to Last Free Day | Appointments are scheduled based on the container’s Last Free Day, helping to avoid storage fees. |
Relative to Delivery Apt | Appointments are booked in alignment with the scheduled delivery appointment to ensure timely coordination. |
Relative to Per Diem LFD | Scheduling is based on the start of per diem charges, minimizing the risk of additional fees. |
Relative to Cut Off | Appointments are made prior to a designated cutoff time (e.g., warehouse closing hours). |
First Available Appointment | The system automatically selects the earliest available time slot for maximum efficiency. |

Note: Timing Preferences settings reset when automation is toggled off and on again via the “Use this template on a background basis” option.
