Overview

When entering a customer, shipper, or consignee address in PortPro, sometimes you need to include extended details like a Suite, Unit, Building, or PO BOX. This guide walks you through how to add and save that specific address information so it appears correctly in routing and on the Driver App.

Steps to Add Custom Address Details

1. Open the Customer or Consignee Profile

  • Navigate to Organizations > Organizations.

  • Search for and open the customer or consignee profile you want to edit.

2. Click the Custom Address Icon

  • In the Address field, click the map pin icon to open the Add Custom Address screen.

3. Enter the Full Street Address

  • In the Street field, add the full address including suite, unit, building number, or PO Box.
Example: 596 Long Beach Blvd Unit 2

  • Ensure the City, State, and Zip Code are also entered correctly.

  • If needed, adjust the map pin to reflect the accurate location.

4. Save the Address

  • Click Save Changes in the bottom-right corner of the custom address screen.

5. Confirm It’s Updated

  • Back on the profile, verify that the Address field now displays the full customized address.

  • This ensures the extended address shows in routing and on the Driver App for your drivers.

Why It Matters

Accurate address data prevents delivery issues and ensures the driver sees complete location instructions on their route. Including suite or unit info also helps dispatchers and customers track delivery accuracy.
