Overview
The Destination ETA (Estimated Time of Arrival) provides an automated estimate of when a driver is expected to reach their drop-off location, based on app activity and real-time location tracking.
How It Works
The ETA is generated once the driver taps the "En Route" button in the PortPro Driver App.
This action activates GPS tracking and allows the system to calculate a real-time arrival estimate.
Important Notes
If the driver does not engage the "En Route" button, and dispatch manually updates the load status, the ETA will not update and may remain outdated or blank.
To keep ETA data reliable, drivers should record timestamps themselves using the app.
Why It Matters
Accurate ETAs help dispatchers, customers, and port operations:
Anticipate delivery timing
Reduce follow-up calls or manual updates
Monitor load progress more efficiently
