How Do I Know if My ELD Is Providing Location Data?

Overview

In PortPro, you can identify whether a driver’s location is being tracked via ELD, mobile app, or not at all using the status dot next to their name.


What Each Dot Color Means

Green Dot — Tracking via ELD

  • Indicates the driver is currently being tracked through their connected ELD device.

  • Hovering over the dot will display: "Tracking via ELD"


Blue Dot — Tracking via App

  • Indicates the ELD is either not connected or inactive, and tracking is being done via the PortPro Driver App.

  • Hovering will show: "Tracking via App"


Gray Dot — Offline

  • Indicates the driver is currently offline.

  • No location data is actively being transmitted from the app or ELD.




Where to Find the Dot

  • This status dot appears next to the driver’s name in the Drivers tab or when assigning trucks/loads.
