Location Tracking Problems:


Issue: Vehicle location is not updating or appears incorrect


Solutions:

  • Check that the device (ELD or mobile phone) has power and is functioning

  • Verify that GPS is enabled on the device

  • Ensure the device has cellular or internet connectivity

  • For mobile app users, confirm location permissions are enabled

  • If using an ELD, check that the integration is active in the ETA Agent settings



Issue: Vehicle appears in the wrong location


Solutions:

  • Refresh the dashboard to get the latest data

  • Check if the vehicle is assigned to the correct trip

  • Verify that the correct vehicle ID is being used

  • If persistent, contact support to check for data synchronization issues


Inaccurate ETA Predictions:


Issue: ETAs are consistently too early or too late


Solutions:

  • Review historical patterns to identify systematic issues

  • Check if the correct route is being used for calculations

  • Adjust vehicle or driver profiles if they have specific characteristics affecting travel time

  • Use the feedback function to report inaccuracies, which helps improve the system


Missing or Delayed Notifications:


Issue: Notifications are not being received


Solutions:

  • Check notification settings to ensure they're properly configured

  • Verify that contact information (email, phone number) is correct

  • Check spam/junk folders for email notifications

  • Ensure notification thresholds are appropriate (not set too high)

  • Verify user permissions include notification access



Issue: Notifications are received too late to be useful


Solutions:

  • Adjust notification thresholds to trigger earlier

  • Check for delays in the notification delivery system

  • Ensure the system clock is accurate


Mobile App Issues:


Issue: App crashes or freezes


Solutions:

  • Ensure using the latest version of the app

  • Restart the app and/or device

  • Check available storage space on the device

  • Verify internet connectivity

  • If persistent, uninstall and reinstall the app



Issue: High battery drain when using the app


Solutions:

  • Adjust location tracking frequency in settings

  • Close other apps running in the background

  • Check for app updates that might include efficiency improvements

  • Reduce screen brightness when using the app

  • Connect to a power source during long trips


Dashboard Display Problems:


Issue: Dashboard fails to load or displays errors


Solutions:

  • Refresh the browser page

  • Clear browser cache and cookies

  • Try a different browser

  • Check internet connectivity

  • Verify that account has the necessary permissions



Issue: Map view doesn't show vehicles or routes


Solutions:

  • Check if map layers are properly enabled

  • Zoom out to ensure vehicles are within the visible area

  • Verify that location data is being received

  • Try switching between map providers if available

  • Ensure browser has permission to access location services
