Connecting to Your Excel File: A Step-by-Step Guide

Modified on Mon, 11 Aug at 3:37 PM

Step 1: Initiating the Connection in PortPro

After accessing the Excel Spreadsheet AI Agent interface within the PortPro AI Marketplace, locate a button labeled "Connect," "Add New File," or a similar call to action.

Click this button to start the connection process.

Step 2: Microsoft Authentication – Keeping it Secure

  1. Enter the Microsoft account credentials (the email address and password associated with the OneDrive or SharePoint account where the Excel file is located).
  2. Microsoft will then display a permissions request screen detailing the information and access the PortPro AI Agent is requesting (e.g., ability to read and write to files). Review these permissions carefully.
  3. To continue, the permissions must be accepted or allowed. This is a standard OAuth 2.0 process, which ensures that PortPro never sees or stores the Microsoft password, maintaining a high level of security.

Step 3: Selecting the Excel File and Specific Worksheet

  1. Once Microsoft authentication is successful, the system will redirect back to the PortPro AI Agent interface.
  2. After providing the Excel file URL and proceeding, the setup portal will load again. If the file contains multiple worksheets (tabs), the system will prompt for selection of the specific worksheet where the data will be synchronized.
  3. Select the appropriate worksheet from the list provided. This is the sheet where the TMS data will be written and updated.
