Overview
This article covers how to set up various driver pay accessorials / charge profiles.
Details
You can configure driver pay accessorials using different rules depending on your needs. Below are common accessorials and how they work:
Prepull
If multiple yards all pay the same, you can skip using the “By Event” rule and instead add a rule based on Drop Location.
Fuel
Fuel surcharges can be configured to pull percentages from either:
The Invoice (customer invoice)
The Driver Charges (carrier base pay)
For Prepull Fuel, use “By Event” and combine it with a fuel percentage rule.
Use “By Event” if a single location triggers the pay, or “By Move” if multiple locations trigger it.
Chassis Split
Pick Up
Return
Waiting Time at Consignee
You can configure time units based on your agreements:
Per 15 min
Per 30 min
Per hour
Detention at Port/Rail Pick Up or Return
Rules can be added to recognize delays at either pickup or return terminals.
Detention at Port/Rail Return
Overweight
Optional rules tied to container size and commodity weight.
Hazmat
Hazmat charges can be triggered based on container or move attributes.
Bobtail / Stopoff
You do not need a stopoff rule for bobtails if Support Moves is enabled.
The system can auto-detect bobtail moves.
Only a Super Admin can configure stopoff rules in General Info.
Reefer
The genset rule is optional.
If you need help creating or customizing your accessorial rules, reach out to Support or consult your system admin.
